
Western Sahara may or may not be a country. At its most defined, it is a disputed territory with ties to Morocco and Mauritania, currently under a cease-fire and guarded closely by UN Peacekeepers. The land area, which stretches south from Morocco and Algeria, separates the West African coastline from Mauritania. I am in Dakhla, a medium-sized city and the only town for miles.
